The broken curse...

Finally Laurent broke the dreaded curse. He managed to come with us for basketball. Before this, whenever he wanted to play ball with us, the ball game would be cancelled. It would either rain or the ball game would be called of for some reason. Even yesterday, when we reached there, the whole court was full which never happened before. Jinx! Anyway, we played till 2am and Im now in office spending my lame saturday in office. Can't wait to go home for a good sleep. My weekends are now lame and I no longer look forward to them.

I guess it took some time before the fact got pounded to my thick skull. My job is LAME! and my boss is some cheap ass. Giving shit classes on how to improve oneself ( which is 3 classes a week and held after working hours), beating about the bush when the issue of increment came up and always saying "I ll pay you based on your performance!" Okay, I told myself, maybe he has a point there but my mentality is my performance depends on how much u pay me. Anyway, finally two of my colleagues just got confirmed. Their productivity is good where they handle a major percentage of the magazine. Their increment: RM50. So much for the productivity shit. Guess if its based on my given productivity, i ll get an increment of RM5.

Stop attending those lame classes already after the boss said that it was okie if i didnt want to attend. He said he respected frank people. SO i didnt go and i heard from my colleague that he does mind. Anyway, started my job hunt again and hope i get a better job this time. Bless me.

Yesterday...

It started with a dream...

Dreamt that I struck it rich in some competition at a roll of a dice. Thinking about it, I really hate those dreams where I cant differentiate if I was in reality or in slumber. Woke up feeling poorer than ever. If it was those realistic dreams, I would prefer a wet dream anytime.

Saw two of my fishes dead. Death had been lurking in my house earlier that morning. A bad sign I would say. Anyway, life goes on as i prepared for work.

I was speeding down the LDP on the fast lane as usual when all of a sudden, the engine jammed and my speed dropped from 100 kmh to 10kmh in seconds. Could see cars speeding towards me from my rear mirrors and somehow i managed to pull over at the other side of the road alive. I sat on my bike for 10 minutes before coming back to my senses. Went blank for a while there. Called up my company saying that I would be on MC and started pushing the bike home. Reached my regular mechanic and he started to diagnose the bike. Basically opened up the whole engine and he said that the piston was a gonner. Calculated everything and it summed up to a few hundred bucks. Life wasnt as pretty as i always imagined. Shit happens.

Reached home and slept the whole day before collecting the bike later on. Life sucks.

My weekend. Rating: 5/10

Saturday...met up with Eve and we went to Sunway Pyramid to meet Sam who came down with her family. Was told last minute that they wanted to have some "gals talk" and asked me to walk around for a while. Damn! Wonder what was the point of my existence there then. Hanged out on my own for a while. They departed soon and then Eve and I proceeded to KLCC. Reason: The Megasales are back...which has nothing to do with me who's struggling to pay my bills and debts. Money aint everything they say, but try living without money. It sucks. Haha

Sunday...played basketball with Laurent early in the morning. We werent really playing as the court was wet. But it felt good sweating early in the morning and breathing the fresh cold air. Went for dimsum later on at some full housed dimsum place in Puchong. Not bad but nothing very special. Was too crowded for my liking but heck, I love dimsum. Talking about dimsum, was told by a friend that there are lots of 24 hours dimsum shops in Sri Petaling. Might be making a trip there one of these days.

Went on to Tesco. Didnt plan to get anything but ended up buying some soil and tomato seeds. Just took my pot back from cyberia the other day and the soil was cheap, so heck. Went on to Subang where Laurent bought some marine fishes and life rocks. Finally another marine tank project by laurent. Will post up some pics on it soon.

Reached home, started my gardening session in the vacant room. My aunt is going to have a heart attack if she ever visits her house again. Created my own watering pot by pricking holes through a 1.5 liter mineral water bottle which turned out better than i expected. Scattered the seeds and covered them with soil. End of gardening session. Wonder what was my motive behind that.

Got Grand Theft Auto 3 San Andreas from Marvin the other day along with the 'Hot Coffee' patch which unlocked 18sx scenes in the game. However, the sex scenes sucked big time and was kinda disappointed. This kind of disappointment happens when I anticipate too much. Haha Anyway, the game was pretty cool and got kinda addicted to it. Seems like the game fever is back again for me. Basically my whole Sunday was spent in front of the screen.

Got some tickets for the Fantastic 4 from my company. So, later that night, went to Midvalley with Eve to catch the movie. The main attraction of the movie would be Jesicca Alba. I was drooling over her cleavage, pretty face and pear shaped body all the time. However, the fight with Dr. Doom was pretty short and boring. Effects wise are kinda cool but overall, i would say its quite a lousy movie. But heck, its free so I am not complaining anymore.

Wasted Friday night...

As usual, every Friday I would be joining the some friends for a basketball game. Havent been playing for a while now and last night, we decided to play in MMU Cyber. Drove all the way there only to find the court occupied by inter-faculty games. Sigh! Perfect timing indeed.

However, based on quite a few occasions, I have concluded that Laurent is a jinx. Whenever, he can actually come for basketball, the plan is surely to backfire. Rain, no keys for the court's light, and occupied court. Haha

Healty lifestyle..

I know this aint the first time Im writing on this topic but heck! bear with it a little alright. This healthy lifestyle thing had been going on and off but only for a short while.

Found a basketball court five minutes from my place last night. So, this morning at 7am, rode there and started shooting some hoops. Played there for about forty minutes before departing home. Beats playing basketball in my room where i cant bounce, cant shoot and jump. In my room, normally after skipping, I would practice on my 'fake move' against the reflection of the window. Wonder how many people out there think that I am some nut crack on the lose.

Anyway, starting to feel sleepy and lethargic now. Wonder why my dad always say that you ll feel fresh after sports.

My colleague...

There s this gal who recently joined my company. My first impression of her was to be gentle, timid gal. I was wrong. Very wrong.

She was some loud cool open minded gal who could talk about anything under the sun. Talked about sex, mythologies, historical issues, general issues and almost anything we could talk about though the only topic i was interested in was sex. She s the type of gal said "Fuck you!" when I pissed her off which would be followed by my reply - "Anytime."

I even got into a little trouble with Eve because of her. Haha some misunderstanding. It's not like I am having an affair or anything. Eve read some innocent smses between us which lead to some big misunderstanding which made my life miserable for days. Dear, if your reading this, everything is just cool and there is totally nothing between she and me. She has even been attached for five years already. (Eve: God knows!)

Anyway, im pretty glad she came to this already miserable office as I now have a new friend who is cool, open, noisy, honest, sarcastic, straight, and crazy. Besides that, life still sucks.

Untitled

Had been really stagnant lately. The ammount of work assigned to be is pretty little and I really dont see the reason of my existence in the company anymore. It is going to be 3 months soon where I can see my probation being extended to maybe 6 months. Feel like changing company already but for the fact that my work suck so badly, I dont have the motivation or courage to move on. I cant even do a simple RM1100 job properly. I am not even being assigned jobs of a higher level. The team leader said my work was shit. Guess I really suck after all. Emotions at an all time low now. Feel like going swimming or fishing where I can just drift into space...

Wild Life

Over a cup of coffee, my friends were bragging about their expedition to some place to taste some exotic wild life. Terrapins, flying fox, squirrels and other animals. Some said that it was disgusting, some said it was good. I guess these are things people miss out when they dont have a real kampung. Then started telling my stories back in kampung where these wild life were freshly harvested at our own backyard.

Cute squirrels were gunned down by my uncle's shotgun with me playing the role of the hunting dog where I go collect the fallen critters. After half an hour of harvesting, i would be carrying about 10 squirrels from their bushy tails. Remove the fur from the tails, and these cute squirrels become a rat. So those guys who have squirrels as their pets, are just rearing a rat with a bushy tail. My mom would then do the skinning and slicing then start cooking them with authentic Nyonya recipes. I personally do not like eating squirrels coz they dont have much flesh. Taste wise, they taste like chicken. Then we had to chew the meat carefully, removing shotgun pellets which are just bigger ball bearings from our mouths.

Didnt really have the chance to taste freshly harvested flying fox cause by the time I was born, the flying foxes in the area were already extinct. Had to blame my mom and the family for not reserving any for me. Even a wandering pangolin or porcupine that was seen wasnt spared. The scales of the pangolin and thorns of the porcupine are still available at the ancestral home.

What interests me more than the food was how these animals are caught. My dad was expert at laying booby traps that would catch these animals. Ayam hutan, biawak and other wild life had fallen to him. Taught me once the art of fixing a trap for birds and i tried it on my uncle's poultry. The trap worked pretty well, catching the rooster by its feet and flinging it up. My excitement and joy didnt last long though as my uncle found out what I was doing and gave me a thrashing.

After writing this, I suddenly feel like going on a hunting expedition to revive my childhood days.

Gathering of hometown friends

Still remember the day when we were still under-graduates and discussing life over a cup of coffee back in Kluang. "I am going to work here in Kluang. The life here is simple and carefree." "I can save a lot by staying with my family." "I am the family kind of guy. I wanna stay and work near my family" Those were the words of my hometown friends back then. Now majority of those fuckers are either searching for jobs in KL or already working here.

It is good to have the old gang of close friends back here in KL. Talk mostly on the good old days and stuff. Hanging around at some mamak till the wee hours in the morning when I have work the next day. Kinda fun but starting to feel the exhaustion and burn in the wallet.

Was also planning to enter some streetball competition. Brought it up to the rest of the gang, and memories of being tormented during competitions back then was brought up. Anyway, would start some physical training and have more basketball practices so that we wont bring shame to our father's names.

Review of the week...

Guess I havent updated my blog in a while. Life had been so stagnant and repetitive lately.

The only new thing I guess would be me getting screwed by my team leader. Saw that coming somehow, so I was well prepared for it. Said my performance dropped, my design now sucks, and I chat and play games a lot. I immediately defended myself. I havent been playing games for at least a month already and ive only been working for 2 months. And everyone else could be obviously seen playing games. BITCH! Then she said "Okay, fine. Then maybe you shouldnt chat that much." Failed to defend from the truth. All the damn politics in the office made me feel burn out and I have lost all my respects for the bitch. Having her lecture me really boiled me up. She was a lousy leader to start with. The 2 colleagues who were sacked was most probably caused by her. The problem with her, she assigns you tasks without explaining what she really want and stuff. Then, once you screw things up, she will take it back, said that its fine and does everything herself. She wont tell you what went wrong and directly goes to report to the big boss. The new fella would then be wondering what hit him when the boss calls him to the office. Okie, enough about her.

What else for this week...oh, the rainy season started. Basket! So i always get caught in the rain and end up shivering and feeling soft to the bone. The cold weather had to start the moment I fix my aircon. Or could it be my new colleague behind it. I notice she always sing out aloud during work and the rainy spell started soon after she came. Haha No offense anyway if you are reading my blog.

What else, oh, I bought some spoilt durians. Cursed! This week's review is all about bad luck. Urgh, must mandi bunga already.

I guess thats all for this week's review.

Revival of squash

Finally the squash court at Eve's condo was ready. They started renovating it when the idea of squash crossed my mind.

Went to the store room and digged up two squash racquets (one of them is Neos. Pinjam arr). The racquet brought back fond memories back in Alpha. The slaughtering of the 'kiwi', the rampaging of the 'cow', the bloody knee and many other memories.

Taught Eve about the rules and stuff. She seemed quite interested in the game and probably would get into it. The grip of the racquets are in bad shape, leaving our hands black as coal after our game. Will be changing them soon.

Seems to be playing a lot of sports lately. Jack of all trades but good at none.

Good Neighbours...

Last nite, bought my dinner (nasi lemak kukus and 2 D24 durians) and headed home. Reached home and was greeted by my ground flour neighbours. This time they introduced themselves and we ended up chatting for quite some time. Talked about the neigborhood, talked about life but most of the time, we were talking about fishing. Haha

But it felt really good when we chatted. It gave me a sense of security and I was happy that the people here were friendly. And I found out that it was them who devoured the catfish.

Dreams...

The dreams that I ve been having lately is starting to frighten me. It s getting out of the world and getting more idiotic. Wonder if its a sign...

I dreamt that I was riding a talking horse last night. And I was riding in a neighborhood where lot of kids cycled there. Everytime I overtook a kid, the damn horse would 'lagak' with them. "Is that the fastest you can go??" "Eat my dust!" I ll tell you, I was so embarassed I wanted to kill the damn beast.

Then we entered a corner sharply and there was a fast incoming car. Couldnt stop in time and I jumped off the horse and it got rammed by the car. It stayed on the ground cursing. The guy who rammed it came down and apologised and ended up buying me some Pizza. Dont remember much about the horse in the end.

...

Wondering why am I even posting this up. But have to admit, my dreams are freaking me out.
