Sukida
I still can't believe I woke up at 6am and travelled for an hour and a half just to take a couple of crappy pictures.

New Sport in Town
I guess I have another new activity to add to my daily life. Another lame attempt to make my life more meaningful or happening. Another reason to waste more money on something. The latest addition to my life:
Baseball.
Alright, lemme rephrase, coz it isn't really baseball that I'm doing. What I was actually doing would be attempting to whack a moving ball with a baseball bat within an enclosed cage. The idea of it would be similar to a driving range for golf where the only difference would be the equiptment involved. But the general idea would be the same - to whack some balls~!
So far, I've been going there with the intentions of working out. But more importantly, its the fun factor that kept me going back for more. The satisfaction I get from getting a clean hit of the ball is almost orgasmic. The smell of burnt rubber, an effect of the ball grazing against the fast moving bat, was just heavenly. The blisters on the hands after the game adds a couple of points to my manliness. The strain of muscles and joints reminds me that I'm leaving a healthy lifestyle.
Enough of the bullshit. The straight truth would be that at every swing, be it hit or miss, I'm rid of some frustration, tension and stress from within me. Yeah, I'm one hell of a angry, frustrated and depressed kid. Grrr....
Anyway, check it out at Hit.com.

Gaya factor.

Ever changing passion
I wonder if I can even call it passion.
Had been changing my activities here so often that my colleague here started critisizing my everlasting passion for stuff.
Lets see. Over one year of service here, what have I tried.
1. Planted tank.
Tried re-living my planted tank hobby from University days but failed miserably. Bloody water pressure here was so bad that it was just so damn inconvinient to fill up the aquarium. And I only realized that after getting an aquarium and filling it up with sand and wood. And I'm living on the 4th floor with no elevators. I think my spine is still a bit crooked today after trying to move all those sand.
Time spent on hobby: 2 weeks
Status: Resigned
2. Reading
A season where I finally decided to feed my brain something meaningful. It felt so peaceful spending a nice quiet evening reading, reading and just reading. Books after books. I was totally absorbed into the world of whatever I was reading and it was just wonderful. Finally, reality sank in and I realized that all I was looking at was static text. Urgh. I was living in a world of dillusion.
Stopped for a while and I'm now back to reading where I only read shit. Currently reading The Alphabet of Manliness and that's good shit.
Next book I wanna read: Why do men have nipples.
Time spent on hobby: 2 months
Status: Ongoing
3. Sudoku
My aunt came back from Australia one day and found it painful looking at me prancing about the house topless. Taught me how to do Sudoku and I was hooked for a while. Scavenged all the old newspaper in the house for Sudoku.
Stopped when I was told that the average time to complete a puzzle was just 5 minutes. My average was 30 minutes.
Time spent on hobby: 1 week
Status: Resigned
4. Fishing (pay-ponds)
Fishing used to be so fun. Good old days where I could spend the whole day getting burnt under the sun and get a fish or two. Lately, I guess Poseidon has forsaken me and I haven't caught anything in a pretty long time. Alright, I know nuts about Greek mythology and I have a feeling that Poseidon has nothing to do with fishing.
Anyway, my point would be that I'm paying cash and I'm not even catching nuts out there.

5. PS 2ing.
Till this day, I never regret buying that PS2 of mine. It's there for me when all is dark and sad and lonely. I've had my good times with it. I've had depressing times with it. Grandia 3, God of War, Tekken 5, Fight Night 3 was just so cool. Jaws Unleashed was just bullshit.
Well, PS2 was collecting dust for a while there when I decided to pay Kiwi a visit. Played Burnout2 Revenge and it was so cool. Guess that will keep me occupied for a while.
Time spent on hobby: 8 months
Status: Ongoing
6. DOTA ing.
My biggest success so far where I managed to poison most of my colleagues here. It was fun seeing how they grow. Use to slaughter them and see them squeel like pigs but now they manage to put up a little fight. Zero team work to some half assed team work. Still get slaughtered by other players though.
Fucking repetitive and boring game but still get dragged to the cyber cafe by colleagues. Regret spreading the virus in the first place.
Time spent on hobby: 2 months

7. Anime, Manga and Simpsons
Animes and mangas, good ones, bad ones, I've been through them all. Still consistently watching/reading them till this very day. Just got my hands on the 51 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist and I am happily rewatching every bit of it.
Simpsons, good shit and needs no introduction. I'll never get bored of them.

8. Excercising
9. Porn
10. Hentai
11. Dieting
Well, that's about it. Didn't realize myself that I've been doing this much shit over a year.
And I'm still bored, uncontented and passionless.
Wonder how long more before I leave my death note.

Good bye pay ponds
I've had it. Countless hours and cash spent at the pay pond and it's been a while since I caught anything. Even last night resulted with zero catches, unless you consider catching a bat something to be proud of. Yea, a fucking dead bat. My friend caught the dead bat and we were wondering if it was already the Chinese Ghost Festival.
From today onwards, I will hereby announce my retirement from pay pond fishing. Enough cash wasted catching nothing.

World Cup Finals 2006
Italy - France.
Whoever wins the cup doesn't really matter to me.
What really matters would be the team I pick to win.
Had been contemplating who to pick for the last half an hour.
Wonder why am I contemplating so much when i can just choose to not to bet at all and have a nice pleasant night. Turning into an impulsive gambler.
I've clicked on Italy once but then I chickened out.
I've clicked on France once but I can't click to submit my bets.
Sigh.
My blood is boiling now from all the durians I had, so I can't really think straight.
Choices. Choices. Choices.
I clicked on France and submitted my bet.
Too late for regrets.
Now, lets move in with life.

Back to life
Blog left to rot again.
Had been an intoxicating week filled with gambling and liquour and inhaling second hand smoke. Was up in Genting for a weekend. Got shooed off from the casino for wearing sandals. Again. The last time, I got shooed off for wearing shorts. Bought a pair of nice leather shoes. Went in. Lost a pair of nice leather shoes. Damn. Went back to hotel room. Quenched my thirst with Hennessy and Vodka. Drank till I couldnt feel anything at all. Just remembered waking up to puke my guts out. Again, I vowed to never chug on alchohol again.
Back to work. Back to dragging myself out of bed every morning. Back to the day like any other day.
Back to life.
Damn.

Gaming Season
Life is being wasted again day after day. The current craze of the KLIA team would be hanging out at the cybercafes here and drooling over hot China and Korean babes studying at INTI Nilai.
Yea, as much as I was critisizing Dota, I am back at the game again, this time cursing and swearing at my fellow colleagues for being noobs. Still at training stage at the moment and haven't started challenging other gamers there. Getting sick of the AIs and can't wait to start challenging the human race. This phase of life kinda reminds me of the good old days of University, spending most of our times playing LAN games and frequently hearing Laurent swear from the other room.
Sigh.

Banzai Japan~!
I managed to survive my biggest bet so far. It was the most tiring and nerve wreaking game ever. It was the Crotia - Japan game where I took Japan with a handicap of 3/4 ball. Ninety minutes seemed like forever, seeing the Crotians attack aggresively and the Japs playing like pussies. The only Japanese on the field whom I'd salute that night would be Kawaguchi who did a brilliant penalty save. But even he gave me a scare when he missed a slow pass from his team mate, which rolled out for a corner. If that ball rolled into the net, my room would be filled with Kawaguchi voodoo dolls.
Anyway, it was one hell of a lousy match. It was only the money that kept the adrenalin pumping. I'd always wanted to cheer for Japan, but after last night, I guess that they kinda suck.
But, they did manage to defend their net to the end, so Banzai~!!!

World Cup Day#1
There are times when the heart can predict or sense an outcome. I mentioned earlier in the previous post that I’d follow my heart and bet on Germany. I lost the mind game within myself and decided to betray my heart by taking Costa Rica and ended up picking Costa with a one-and-three-quarter handicap.
All was going fine where the score was now held at 3-2 to Germany with 10 minutes on the clock. I was happily enjoying my beer + stout when suddenly at the 85th minute of the game, a fucking German (I can’t remember his name) blasted a powerful shot into the upper right corner of the net. Final score: 4-2 Germany’s win.
I never finished my drink.
I guess I’d never really liked stout mixed with beer.
The next match was Poland versus Ecuador. Poland gave Ecuador a half ball handicap and I happily picked Poland predicting a nice 1-0 win over Ecuador.
Ecuador scored first.
I went to sleep.
Final Score: Ecuador 2 – Poland 0
Ignorance is bliss.
I slept like a baby.

Let the fever rock on~!!
Finally, the wait for the most anticipated event in the world, World Cup 2006 has ended. Tonight, or rather tomorrow midnight (Malaysian Time), all football fans and enthusiast will gather in front of the stupid box or some projected screen to witness the opening match between Germany and Costa Rica, while the rest of the world will be thinking what's the big hoo-haa about 20 people chasing after a single ball.
It is also the season where people get their big bonus and also a good season where people commit suicides. This is where my investment for my early retirement at the age of 23 comes in. Well, either that or I might accidentally slip on the floor and fall off 30 story building.
Germany let Costa Rica 1 1/4 balls.
With my zero research and follow my heart style, I'm believe that Germany should be able to at least score two balls. Definitely.
But then again, I can't even name more than 3 German players.
Costa Rica have more white players than black right?
Right?

I need water~!!
As usual, this morning was just like any other morning. After 5 snoozes, I had to drag myself to bathroom for a cold shower to shock myself awake. Turned on the shower and waited.
Drip.
I waited.
Drip.
What the fuck~! This is the second time that there's no water at the fucking hostel. Just as I was starting to feel at home, some shit happens. The last time there was no water, it was for 3-4 days. Meaning no shitting, no pissing, no bathing, no washing activity at all till the water supply is back on.
Return me my precious water~!!!!!

Angler mode: On
Fishing season is on again.
This time with more noobs and side bets to spice up the game.
However the pond that we’d usually go to was in a fucked up condition where the tauke didn’t really bother to maintain it. Hooking up a large fish is a rare sight now or rather hooking up any kind of fish now is a rare sight. And it wasn’t just us noobs who weren’t hooking anything. Even some other regulars seemed to be yawning all the time.
Time to scout for a new playground.

Wesak Day Eve
Happy Belated Wesak Day to all the Buddhist in the world or to whoever celebrating it.
In conjunction with such a holy day, I dedicated myself to one of the seven deadly sins - Gluttony. Spent the whole day binging fajitas and downing fruit juices at Midvalley's Chilis before proceeding for some cheese cakes at Secret Recipe. Met up with a couple of new friends later on for more barbeque and also a drinking session.
Being a total noob at drinking sessions, I realized that the drink mixing was slightly different from the ones I used to have. I noticed that they only add a dash of alchohol to a whole load of soft drinks and ice whereas I used to add a dash of soft drink to a whole load of liquour. No wonder the previous drinks tasted damn bad and we'd soon be puking off all over the place. This time, we enjoyed the drink and could have more cups while letting the alchohol effect accumulate slowly.
Played this pretty neat drinking game.
Pack of cards. A person draws a card per round and each card represents:
Ace to five : The person drawing the card takes 1 to 5 (depending on the card)sips.
Six to ten : The person drawing the card chooses a target to take 1-5 sips.
Jacks : Everybody bottoms up.
Queens : Ladies' drink.
Kings : Men's drink.
It was pretty funny during the final stages of the game where everybody got stoned and too dumb to think.
Yea, I spent Wesak day on meat and getting wasted.

Fruitful night
I was getting bored from being ignored by the damn fishes at the pond. Smart asses it seems. Or was I just a dumb ass. Rival had already moved to another spot and he beckoned me over as the radar was indicating high movement of fishes. Just as I was walking over, his rod dropped and a tug of war began. Was a bloody huge fish that jumped, flapped and snagged. It was a pacu, some relative of the more famous piranha. Weighing 4 kilos, it did scare the Jackpot holder for a while. Even the hook went slightly straight. And behold, the picture of the day...

...
Oops. Wrong pic. My bad my bad. AND behold, the real picture of the day...

The fish that gave him 2 months of bragging rights and SELF PROCLAIMED TITLE of the P-King (which basically means that he catches fishes like Patin and Pacu)
More pics...

Luckily didnt end up empty handed. I have my pride too.
Fishes must have been really hungry that night. An angler opposite me pulled up a 10 kg Tong-san which was the size of a tong gas
and many other fishes. Was a good fishing night.
Managed to squeeze those bloody fat ass fishes into the small freezer, all set for ikan bakar this Thursday. A treat to those asses who had been laughing and sneering at us about fishing and not getting anything.
Cheers.

Fishing class
Went for my fishing class late last night. With my rival of course, who now boasts of 2 patins caught in the school's vicinity.
Reached there to find my lecturer holding a shotgun. Thinking that I came to the wrong class, I was about to open my mouth and ask when he said "Bloody monkeys!". I also learnt that there were otters, monitor lizards, and also pythons for the shooting.
Anyhow, class started and soon enough, we found out that we got our fishing techniques from A-Z wrong. Wrong hook size, wrong knots, wrong bait, wrong technique, wrong anticipation and wrong reaction. All wrong. No wonder we always seem like losers at the other side of the pond.
Were also given an introduction of branded rods and reels and a test use of one of the finest rods in the world. I know you guys now are thinking that its just a rod and reel and how much difference can there be. Well, cant expect much from the majority of people who always say "If want fish, go and buy fish lar!" Our admiration for the rods and reels can be compared to those guys driving Malaysian cars admiring those super foreign cars.
Most enjoyable part of the class was when I was given the chance to reel in a fish. A real fish which was just 2.4 kg but my hand felt all sore and tired after reeling it in. In fact, I couldnt have reeled it in without guidance of the lecturer. That shows how amateurs we were.

Fishing Mania
Went fishing again last night. I just noticed the similiarity between fishing and gambling. If you dont win/catch anything, you'll carry on gambling/fishing in hope you win something. And if you do win/catch something, you get greedy and want more.
Ended up fishing for 5 hours last night.
This time, went there with a new recipe which was supposed to be a fool proof sure catch bait. Mixed chicken feed (low grade + high grade), flour, water and BELACAN. The smell was so pungent and it stung our nostrils. Got the whole car stinking badly and we were damn sure of a catch. Good shit.

Night fishing
Went fishing after work the other day, and the sudden thought of night fishing came up. Being one with my thoughts, I ended up buying necessary stuff like torch light, and more fishing equiptments for fishing later that night. My colleague Azlan provided a packet of Gudang Garam for mosquito repellant.
It seemed so much noisier at night. The sounds of the insects could be heard as if they were amplified through a loud speaker and the sounds of cars passing by was really noticable. Wonder if it is because the surrounding was too quiet that everything else became loud. Ironic or maybe its just my idiotic thinking.
The night was beautiful that day, studded with stars and litted by a full moon. Reflection of the moon could be seen on the surface of the pond while the gentle wind send gentle ripples on the water. The cool weather made it even more relaxing and I wished that the moment would last.
Back to my fishing. Caught shit that night. Fuck those guys who boast about fishing at night.
