I love swimming

So, I had been swimming a bit lately.

Learning how to do the dolphin movement in order to learn the butterfly. So much for the dolphin as it looks more like a manatee to others. Saturdays are now spent floating around on Marvin's float gazing at staring up at the blue sky and white clouds the dark crimson sky above hoping that a hellgate will open up and let orcs out to wipe out mankind.

So...

Last week, we decided to start diving. Yea, there were only three goofballs in the entire pool who played around the pool. So, I was the first to dive. Did an almighty leap, high and far. Was curving nicely into the water already and I suddenly realised something - the pool wasn't deep enough. Sliced through the water, my hands made contact with the pool floor at top speed, sending tremors down my back and neck and I think I heard a snap.

Twisted my neck severely and I swam like a good boy after that.

Manga passion ignited

Lately, I've been into manga again. All thanks to a fateful gathering where I came face to face with the manga Vagabond at Borders. Had been searching for it for so long and finally, there it was, the only manga which is worth collecting to me. The art and work of Takehiko Inoue has always fascinated me. If that name doesn't ring a bell, then perhaps the manga Slam Dunk should.

Vagabond, based on the legendary samurai, Miyamoto Musashi can basically be summarized to slashing, blood, sex and flying body parts. Yea, it sounds shallow but it is worth every buck of mine.

And imported mangas here are bloody expensive and has severely burnt my wallet again. All thanks to that fateful meeting.

The mask

Putting the blame on someone else has always been easier than putting it on your own. And it eats my insides especially when the blame is no where near the truth and the problem was caused by the user's own smart ass decision.

But it is somewhat enlightening to see the real face behind the mask of smiles and laughter after an incident like this.
