Home Alone

Finally had a try at staying alone in the hostel. Thanks to all the ghost stories in that very unit, everything seemed spooky. The first thing I did was to switch on every available light in the house. Kept having the feeling of being watched and the sound of dripping water sounded damn loud. Had a quick shower and went to the room. Watched Gundam Seed with maximum volume till I was all drowsy and tired. Ended up sleeping with the lights on and it wasnt a very pleasant sleep. Woke up a couple of times through the night at the slightest sound of the air con.

Never had I been so glad to see daylight again.

Farewell my friends

Finally, the guy whom I am supposed to replace left. Had some farewell party or gathering last night.

Went to this place for some seafood. The place was in some salt-water fishing pay pond. Had some 8 course meal which isnt something to brag about. Kinda sucky I dare say but then it was kinda cheap and paid for by my friend, so what's there to complain.

Today, the colleague who had been going for interviews got confirmed in another company. The place is gonna be understaffed soon. So anyone interested in working here can contact me. haha

Might be working night shift next month and those bastards had to start a ghost story telling session. Argh! Why must have such a weak heart! Haha

High turnover

Basically everyone in my office surfs jobstreet.com. One of them had been going for interviews non stop and cant wait to leave this dreaded place. They keep telling me that the management here sucks and they hate the boss. One complains of the lack of entertainment in the place and it is just lifeless.

From my point of view, it isnt that bad i guess. Heck, I ve only been here for 6 days, so maybe i havent seen the clear picture. And I havent tried working on shift yet. If I were to work on shift, basically I wont have any weekend anymore. And it would be an upside down life. Working through the night and sleeping through the day. Basically, the guys here who work shift tell me that there arent any work at all during the night. So, maybe if i get the shift, it is time for me to catch up on animes and movies. Better start stocking up.

For now, the normal shift doesnt seem as hard, and going out to fix stuff make time flies. There is no jam on the way to work, we have our breakfast during work hours for maybe an hour, a few tea breaks, we can surf during free time, watch movies, basically do anything you want. And the good thing, the guys here manipulate the system and can claim OT without actually doing OT. Good place to earn petty cash I guess.

I guess I stick here for a while and decide what I really want to do for the long term.

da hostel...

There is this room which has a yellow chinese 'fu' sticked on one of the doors of my hostel. Marv and I just laughed it off the other day saying that the house was rearing some chinese vampires there.

Anyway, yesterday my roomy told me that two previous colleagues who stayed in that unit of mine experienced something before. One of them saw the thing in his room. He sraight away fell sick for 3 days and moved out of the hostel. He is still working here and he now travels all the way from PJ. Another guy felt something touching and pressing him during his sleep.

Now, thanks to that, I always feel that something is watching me from the broken ceilings above when I am having my bath. Had always been freaked out by ghost stories and stuff. Haha How I wish I didnt know about it. Ignorance is really bliss.

Never trust Magazine's competition

At least from my ex company's magazine...Parenthink!, Ibu Ayah and the chinese version. Man, I am in the mood for complaining.

Well, first of all, i sincerely doubt that the magazine sells well. Its obvious from the tonnes of leftover magazines stacked in the office. Anyway, back to the topic, the magazine organizes contests in every issue. The number of contestants are limited. The number cant even fill in all the position for prizes. Remember the rule that no family member of a staff in the company can participate? Well, for my company, 6/10 entries are from the boss's kids.

And there are more. The ones in charge of choosing the winners have the cheek to say that an entry is not up to standard and would be disqualified. And all the leftover prizes would be kept for themselves. And to think that it is a parenting magazine. I even saw them choosing what prizes they wanted for themselves before the contest was launched.

But I have to add that not everyone is like that. There is one who is really fair and honest when it comes to these contests and stuff. I guess wherever you go, there would be the good guys and the bad asses.

Never trust IT support

When you think the IT support in your company will save your ass, think again! Yesterday, there was this case where the computer could not boot into the OS. My senior just casually diagnosed the problem with hard disk failure. The user's heart sank and looked very pityful. My senior just said that he would try his best to retrieve the data.

Today, the team leader managed to boot into the hard disk and the data was still intact. But my senior said that he malas wanna help and just called the user to tell that the hard disk was a gonner and would replace a new hard disk for him. Then, he started smashing the hard disk to the ground to make sure the disk was a gonner.

Pretty disgusted by the actions there. And this is only my fourth day.

Bloody arse

I wonder is it my stomach which is spoilt from the good food i had been having so far or the food here is just plain terrible.

Went to toilet like 6 times today. It was hell I tell you. At the few last times, I wonder if it was shit dripping out or just blood. Had a sore arse after that and had to walk with a duck. And my friend just told me that this was some usual case. That was the reason he skipped lunch. Bloody hell! Cant believe all this important info are left out. Anyway, as retribution, he somehow had lunch just now and ended up with a sore arse as well.

Starting to doubt this place.

f.e.a.r

Had been hanging out a lot with Marv later and this dude is a total game freak. Really updated with all the latest games and stuff. Best of all he just downloads them all at his company.

He was telling me about this freaky game where I was thinking how freaky it could get. I was expecting the normal thing like doom where things comes out and scare the shit of you. Anyway, the name of the game is f.e.a.r.

The conclusion of the game, I couldnt finish the demo. I just freaked out. And the thing freaking me out was just a small girl walking around, laughing a bit, and sometimes stare at you. I just couldnt bring myself to finish the game. Haha really gave me the creeps.

Anyway, check out the games and tell me what you think.

The mornings here...

Woke up early today when I felt something hard pressing against my hand. It was my specs. Now it is crooked and bent. Managed to straighten it a bit but it now feels weird.

Went to have my morning bath. Bathing here feels a bit different. It s like bathing in a drain. The toilet bowl looks like a unwashed curry pot and the floor is filled with shit or whatever that is. The lights are out and there s a huge hole in the ceiling so that I can stare at the roof. Bath with the door slightly opened to let some light in. My roommate just baths with the door wide open.

The ride to work is about a 20 minutes slow ride. The roads are wide and there arent that many cars. Would then apply for my visitor pass and get through the highly secured entrance which looks like a fort gate.

The other colleagues would come about 845 to 900. Oh, and work starts at 830. We would then go for breakfast and hang out till about 930 - 1000. Only then work starts...

Well, its only my second day and its still early now, so there is nothing much to write about.

The begin of a new realm

Wonder how long has it been since I last updated my blog. Ever since i quitted my job, i was back in Kluang enjoying every moment of my time there. I slept an average of 14 hours a day, had all the food i ever wanted and did whatever I wanted. But it was a pretty passive life there. Spent most of my time reading or sleeping. Went to the driving range with my dad a few times and I guess it wasnt as easy as it seems. I could hardly hit the golf ball. Haha and I used to think that golf was a sissy's game.

Anyway, now im back in KL with a new job. Yea, i got the job at KLIA. Now working in a company named Getronics which is a sub company of Dell. So i am considered a Dell staff here.

Shifted some of my stuff out to the provided apartment. Laurent, in case you wonder where the hell i am, now you know. I ll still be keeping the puchong place for my weekends. The apartment is located at the border of Kuala Langat. If you guys think that cyberjaya was 'ulu', you should check out this place. It s like living in an oil palm plantation. Will be posting some pics of the area soon.

Today would be the first day of my work. Know nuts and now following the seniors here and see what they do. Will write more about that soon. The area covered is HUGE!!! I covered the cargo area today and it is really really huge.

Alright. Thats all for now. Will tell more of my work soon.

56k sucks

Alright, here i am again. The last 3 months now felt like a dream. Cant believe i was actually working for the last 3 months. Dont feel any sign of regret after resigning in front of the boss. Experience wise, yea, i met a lot of bastards and bitches in my company. Well, less bastards actually. more bitches. Alright, i am exaggerating there. They werent that bad. Not bad at all actually. Learnt a few technical skills, improved my scanning skills, and most importantly, how to say no to a potential employer who is bugging you to sign the appointment letter.

So, here i am again. A fresh start. Start looking for a new job, going for interviews again and having new ambitions and dreams. Kinda lagging i would say compared to the rest of the gang. But at least, i slept 12 hours last nite and im feeling sleepy again and i can sleep anytime. Sigh~!!! LIFELESS!!! haha

Anyway, hope you guys reading this would update your blogs more often so that I have something to look forward too back here in Kluang. haha i bet i m gonna finish a whole harry potter book today.
